This kids's book series came from France in 1931 and has actually been a big success through the years. When his mom was eliminated by a Hunter, Babar is an elephant who ventures away from the jungle. Babar discovers himself in Paris and discovering civilization. Upon his return, he is crowned king of an African country and has his own kids. The premise of the stories has Babar taking lessons that he discovered while in Paris and teaching his children right and wrong. There are over 50 books in the Babar series and DVDs from the tv variation that aired briefly in the early 1990's.
Nick is a lifelong resident of Baltimore, Maryland. He has degrees in biology and computer networking, and he works as a computer network administrator. This time in Sizzling Sixteen cousin Vinnie, who owns the bail bond company, enters into financial difficulty and Plum and Lulu, her ex-prostitute partner, needs to "bail" him out. Popular repeat characters include funeral attendee Grandma Mazur, office manager Connie and Mooner, who now owns a motor home. Of course, sweethearts Ranger (rhymes with threat) and Morelli make steamy looks. All in all it is another enjoyable romp. Be cautious about reading these in the library.
